Javier Espinoza

Javier Espinoza is the Europe Executive Editor of The Capitol Forum, an investigative news organisation providing reporting on antitrust, merger control, corporate investigations, and sector regulation. Previously, Espinoza was the Financial Times’ EU correspondent covering competition and digital policy from Brussels. Prior to that he was the newspaper’s private equity correspondent in London and part of the team that formed the FT’s Due Diligence newsletter in 2017. He served as the education editor for the Daily Telegraph and was a multimedia reporter for the Wall Street Journal. He holds a degree in journalism from City University, a Master’s degree in political economy from King’s College London, and an Executive Master of Business Administration from IE Business School. A British citizen based in Belgium, he spent his formative years in El Salvador and the United States.
