Pedro Hinojo is Head of Market Studies at the Spanish National Commission on Markets and Competition (CNMC). Between September 2021 and September 2025, he served as the Head of the Information Society Unit, working on issues related to the application of competition policy in digital markets, telecommunications, media, and intellectual property. From 2014 to 2021, he worked in the CNMC’s Competition Advocacy Department, where he focused on market studies and reports specialised in digital issues. Previously, he worked at the Ministry of Economic Affairs in areas related to economic policy and analysis. Hinojo holds a degree in economics from the University of Salamanca and a Master’s degree in economic analysis from the University of Alcalá, where he is currently pursuing a doctorate.
